Imagine there’s only music. The only thing that you know. Nothing else. Would you appreciate it unless you hear a song? A song is a manifestation of the music.
Now imagine there are 2 songs. You appreciate music more. Because second song exposes some other aspect of the “Infinite” music.
Continue to add more and more songs. Try to listen to every song in its uniqueness. Do not perform a “cardinal sin” of classifying or labelling a song. Just listen to every song in its uniqueness( de Mello here :-) ).
This way, your appreciation of Music grows and grows! It never stops. Music shines brighter when there are more songs. Infinite songs. Songs are the instance of Music.
Saint Jnaneshwar says in Amrutanubhav: “Unity is strengthened by the expansion of diversity!”
Shri Aurobindo says, “Without the diversity, the Unity would be either a void of non-existence or a powerless, sterile limitation to the state of indiscriminate self-absorption or of blank repose”!
Soul as often called Jiva in Sanskrit, is an “inseparable” Divinity within you. When we say our soul evolves, it means, our spiritual aspect of the ego that evolves and ultimately ego merges into the soul. We have to be “pantheistic” to understand that.
As put by Saint Jnaneshwar, every ornament is nothing but Gold ultimately. Even though it gets “identified” as something different, in essence, it is not. That’s why Adi Shankara says:
“Chidananda Roopah Shivoham Shivoham!”
I am the ever Joyous instance (Roopa) of Shiva (Consciousness).
ADI SHANKARA
That’s why I feel:
There is no separate Bhagavad Gita! You are The Bhagavad Gita! A Song of God!
