
To be able to sing high notes, I have to practice singing low notes.
To be able to grow taller, the root of the tree has to grow deeper.
To appreciate outward beauty, I have look inward, inside me.
To come to a state where I accept all views (all encompassing reality), I have to continue rejecting my notions (drop it, or Neti Neti)
As Buddha puts it in his parable of raft: To go beyond words, I need help from words.
To stop thinking I have to contemplate.
As saint Jnaneshwar puts it: Diversity in forms and experiences actually strengthens Unity, Oneness.
As De Mello puts it, Awareness is a floodlight and concentration is like a spotlight. However, in order to open the floodlight, we have to use (practice) spotlight (meditation, concentration)
As Rumi says, I am an entire ocean in a drop!
As Gita says: But those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on My transcendental form-to them I carry what they lack and preserve what they have.
In order to realise the true meaning of life, I have to understand the true meaninglessness behind all my thoughts, beliefs and acts in the past.
Emptiness is full of potentiality.
