Ekalavya, Arjuna and Karna

Archery is Meditation!

All of them are the best archers .

Arjuna is a seeker of the truth. A #seeker always remains insecure and confused until he realises his true nature (becomes the knower of the truth) with the help of his #Guru! Remember he chooses #Krishna over Krishna’s all powerful army! He is humble and he knows #surrender. Therefore, he’s chosen by Krishna.
He’s on a winning side.

Karna has got all the qualities except Surrender. And due to this he does not get a Guidance. Remember, he rejects Krishna’s offer! Therefore he is incapable to make the right decisions/ choices. The result is obvious. Even though he is hailed as the greatest or the most generous and charitable king, He loses everything. Many remember he gives his Kavach Kundala to Indra. Hardly anyone remembers that he fails to give up his identity of self to Krishna. He fails to be a true renunciant!
He’s on a losing side.

Ekalavya has all it takes to be the best disciple. He not just knows the archery but he also knows the truest essence of life, that is to obey his Guru’s orders. He is the true renunciant. Giving thumb (signature, self identity) is far greater a sacrifice than to give kavach kundal. Mere mortals like us, are free to criticise him by finding his “weaknesses” and “analysing” the potential “material” loss he incurred by “happily choosing” to obey his Guru’s order being in ecstasy.
He is above and beyond this winning and losing! He’s pure Joy of #being .

In short, I would like to end this with the beautiful words of Irshad Kamil:

Rooh se chaahne wale aashiq

Baatein jismo ki karte nahi
