- There are vibrations. Those are independent. Adi Shankara calls these Soundarya Lahari (Divine Vibrations).
- These vibrations are sensed by my senses. These sense organs are formed as a result of my samskaras (my past).
- They are passed to the brain through nervous system, called neural network. As these sensations pass, a lot of activations (transformations) happen which ultimately get passed to the brain. These activations are part of the samskaras (my past, like pain body, etc).
- Brain, or buddhi processes the sensations and forms the mental representation of the incoming signal. My buddhi is enveloped by ignorance (avidya). It is full of biases, predispositions, likes, dislikes. My samskaras interfere here as well. This resulting mental representation (manifestation) is what I call my World! This essentially is my reaction to the incoming vibrations. No wonder, it’s called illusionary world, a defective world.
If I observe, the defects/ limitations get introduced right from step 2 onwards. At every step, there is attenuation (loss) of realisation of His Existence! Only His Existence.
Also, as I move from step 2 to step 4, there’s greater degree of control I have. In step 2 I am limited by my body. My eyes, ears could have problems that limit the reception of Soundarya Lahari. However, as I move to step 4, I am “free” to exercise my control. Thereby controlling the degree of contamination that gets introduced at this step.
Practice of Awareness gradually removes the limitations or defects and make things clear. And then as many realised souls say, there’s only Sat Chit and Ananda! Nothing else.
