Many readers are likely to misinterpret the tone of my views in https://atomic-temporary-200527999.wpcomstaging.com considering me as an advocate of luck.
I am not in favour of analysing success. I like to analyse (appreciate) the path instead.
For example, many analyses, books study successful people, great companies. That is, they do P( Path | Success) type of analysis. Essentially because they value success more than path.
Analyses of P( Success | Path) are too difficult to be done by a human.
Analyst requires enough patience to understand finer nuances of every path.
It requires an analyst to be equidistant from Law and Luck!
It requires careful analysis of all the paths that there are in this world. At the same time, analyses should spare some room for those paths that are yet to be explored.
It requires no obsession with Success and staying equidistant from success and failure. It requires a person to consider *ALL* components of success.
A quest to “measure” success “dilutes” its essence and hence the analysis.
A quest to find the “shortest path” by converting it to an optimisation problem further reduces the “meaning” of success.
I firmly believe that “ultimately” or “eventually” every path leads us to success.
Because there is nothing called as FAILURE!
